Life is Short
YOLO is the acronym for “You Only Live Once”. It means that we have to seize the day and live our life to the fullest (Latin phrase: Carpe Diem). Living a life without regrets, so to speak. Often we forget the very fact that we only have one lifetime. Some of us lived a life full of regrets. Regrets from not doing something when we should and regrets for doing something we shouldn’t. We often ponder over our life thinking what will happen if we did something that we always wanted to do when we are 18 years old, or wishing that the clock can turned back so that we can undo the mistakes of life that wasted many more years just to clean up the mess.
If life is constantly moving forward down the river of life, we need a manual or a map to guide us so that our path will be clear. This is the beginning of a journey to document such manual of life. So, what is the definition of a great abundance and happiness? It is so difficult to defined as it is very subjective. To some, it is becoming the king in career while to some it is just cooking a nice meal for someone that we loved. Let me pen down some of my thoughts on what it means to have a life of great abundance.
Freedom of Life
Like it or not, most of us are not free. We are slaves to something or someone. For a starter, we are bound to our financial constraints. Although money is not everything but like it or not, money is important in this world of capitalism. Without it, we can’t exchange for food or goods which is essential for our daily living. Beyond certain point, money has no meaning other than just a number in the bank accounts. Most people work hard to break free from the rat race and seek financial independence as the first priority.
Enjoyment of Life
Life was created is not purely for the sake of proprogation and to fill the Earth. It is meant for own’s enjoyment as well as for the enjoyment of others. This is especially true for homo sapiens. We are here on Earth to celebrate one another. To enjoy each other’s companion and to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, the nature. For me, enjoying good food is also part of life. Not only the food must be good to the taste but also must be good to nourish the body and keep our body healthy and protected from all kinds of sickness.
Nourishment to the Body and Soul
It is not enough just to have the the body nourished by the nurients from the food we eat daily, we also need to spend those stored energy to produce work. For some, that comes in the form of execises and workout while for others, it is in physical work they performed during the course of their work. However, constant feeding to the body is not all good. Our body need to go thru detoxification process thru fasting. While seeking knowledge and wisdom, we nourishes our mind and soul, we can also nourish our spirit thru spiritual connecttion to God who created the whole universe. Social connections are vital to our existence as we are born to connect. How sad is life when we cannot share our happiness with someone else or has no one to hear our cries. Even Adam has his Eve, right?
Journey of a Lifetime
This website will be an open diary to share knowledge and wisdom that I had gathered in the journey to live a life of full abundance. A life that is full of meaning and fruitful.
